At the heart of Blaithin Makes is punch needle embroidery, a therapeutic textile technique used to create bold, textured artwork.
Each piece is handmade loop by loop using the slow process of punch needle embroidery which is centuries old, making a resurgence in recent years. It is a tactile, textile art - perfect for creating cosy, touchable art. All pieces and workshops are rooted in slow, thoughtful making. Blaithin Makes is about encouraging creativity, exploring texture, and celebrating handmade craft in Ireland.
