Laura Dempsey worked as a childrenswear designer for the high street for nearly a decade after graduating from NCAD with an honours degree in printed textiles. Her favourite part of the job was storytelling through character design and colour stories. It is this love that became the core of Pickled Pom Pom.
Starting with an initial print run of three card designs in Nov 2018, she has organically built the brand to include cards, prints, interior decor and ceramics, stocked in over 80 stores nationwide.
Pickled Pom Pom has become a creative studio in the business of joy & celebration. Laura believes life’s moments need to be celebrated - big and small. It’s not always easy to say how you feel but her illustrated paper prompts are here to help.
The ever growing range of Pickled Pom Pom greetings cards, prints and decorative items celebrate our love of colour and whimsy, often with a cheeky Irish twist.
The range is designed and produced in Ireland with sustainability in mind. Cards are designed to be framed after gifting and never packed in plastic - all packaging is either recycled / recyclable and / or biodegradable. Originally from Dublin but married to a Kildare man,
Laura is Based in Rathangan and mother to 3 - her greatest inspiration - but also loudest critics!
