Gillian, a former illustrator & graphic designer, specialises in the beautiful art of punch needle embroidery.
Bláithín, meaning “little flower” in Irish, started as a side project in 2021. Over the last few years, after steering away from graphic design work, it has become a full time passion.
Each piece is handmade loop-by-loop, using a wooden punch needle, cotton yarn and fabric. Her work is inspired by nature, folk art and quirky Irish-isms, resulting in a range of tactile products that are colourful, fun and unique.
